Building the CANY Robot Platform

Project was kicked off in 2021 between the New York and California teams. The original intention was to create a robot that can help provide an elder person with companionship as well as look out for their safety around the home. The robot could see, hear and sense the environment it is in and react appropriately. After working on it for a while, it seems like the robot can be a platform to develop many applications for around the home and developed via an open source approach. The overall concept of the robot was published as a story in the Technology Hit publication on Medium on March 2024.
